Mikhail Lermontov was a diversified person and a very talented author who often used folklore in his works. However, this does not mean that he wrote about the antiquity of the deep. Chapter i
Tsar of all Russia, Ivan the Terrible, is sitting at the table. He doesn’t alone revel: on the sides of the guardsmen are faithful, opposite the boyars and the princes are rich, in the middle are attendants serving. The lord ordered the wine to be poured, but to give the guardsmen: everyone drinks, and the ruler is glorified. One only sits with his head hanging.
The king became angry, looked at the fugitive soldier and asked if he had lowered his dark eyes. And Kiribeevich told him that he was unrequitedly in love with Alena Dmitrievna - a beauty who could not be found, could not be seen. Ivan Vasilievich wanted to help. He gave his faithful to his faithful, his yacht ring and a pearl girl’s necklace as a gift.
But he deceived the king Kiribeevich: he did not say that the girl was married to a young merchant.
Chapter II
Sits at the counter, trades, but the money considers Kalashnikov, referred to as Stepan Paramonovich. Tokmo a bad day happened to him: no one looked into his shop. The working day is over, the merchant closes and he returns home.

The young Kalashnikov began to look out the window, and think about thinking, but when he hears hasty steps, he turns around and sees his wife. Embarrassed Stepan Paramonovich, began to scold her. She got scared and started to tell. She went home after the evening service, and the king’s oprichnik began to pester her, kiss her and kiss her on the cheeks. The girl escaped from his hands and ran home.
Kalashnikov heard his wife and sent for the younger brothers. The merchant told them his misfortune, and explained that, against the oprichnik, he would fight not for life but for death. Chapter III
Fistfights began on the Great Moscow River. And the tsar Ivan Vasilyevich ordered the fellows to click and to call for the victory reward. The daring Kiribeevich left and began to wait for the enemy. A young merchant Kalashnikov rose against him. He recognized his guardian of his enemy and was frightened.
The battle of the heroes, the last battle, has begun. And Kiribeevich fell dead.
The tsar was enraged, but ordered Kalashnikov to be seized and brought to himself. And he asked the merchant whether he had intentionally killed his best soldier. To which Stepan Paramonovich answered in truth and asked him to execute the sinful, and rewarded his family for the victory. And the lord fulfilled the will of the last soldier of the remote.
Beyond the Moskva River, on a clean field, the young merchant Kalashnikov was buried.
